Border Wine Fest 2026 – Jazz Edition is coming to Plaza de la Mexicanidad on Saturday, October 24, for a full day of wine, food, art and music. The event will run from 2:00 p.m. to midnight, bringing together tastings, guided wine sessions, workshops and other activities designed for visitors to spend several hours exploring different experiences in one place.

This year's edition has a clear theme: wine and jazz at one of Ciudad Juárez's most recognizable landmarks. The festival will take place at Plaza de la Mexicanidad, home to Sebastián's monumental “La X,” near Heroico Colegio Militar and Plutarco Elías Calles avenues.

More than 50 wineries and hundreds of wines

Current promotions for Border Wine Fest 2026 announce tastings from more than 50 wineries. Wine regions represented this year include Baja California, Chihuahua, Coahuila, Querétaro, San Luis Potosí and Zacatecas, along with reported participation from New Mexico.

More than 300 different wines have also been announced, although the final number may change as the festival program is completed. For anyone who enjoys discovering new wines, the event offers an opportunity to sample selections from several regions rather than focusing on a single winery.

Among the projects highlighted for this year's event is Rosa Arena, described in festival coverage as a Juárez winery. Its participation adds a distinctly regional element to the event, giving visitors a chance to discover wines connected to Chihuahua and the border desert alongside producers from other established wine regions.

General admission is currently listed at $1,299 MXN per person and includes tastings throughout the event, a commemorative wine glass, a special-edition eco-friendly bag and access to scheduled activities.

More than wine tastings

The program includes several experiences built around wine. One of the announced activities is traditional grape stomping, with organizers preparing 1.2 tons of fresh grapes for the experience.

There will also be a wine painting workshop led by Juárez artist Nikikarra, along with food-focused experiences and hands-on culinary activities. Among them is an artisan pizza experience led by chef Hugo Axel Medrano of Ristorante Italiano Abelini.

The program also includes sommelier-led tastings, wine appreciation workshops and mixology activities. A Mixology Master Class with Adrián Sosa has also been promoted. Specific schedules, capacity limits and any additional requirements for some of these special activities should be confirmed through the festival's latest information.

A festival with a jazz soundtrack

Music will be an important part of this year's experience. The 2026 festival is officially presented as the Jazz Edition, with jazz performances scheduled throughout the day.

One of the announced highlights is a special closing tribute to Amy Winehouse, featuring more than twelve musicians and a Big Band. DJ Town has also been announced as part of the evening's musical lineup.

The result is a festival that pairs daytime tastings and activities with live music continuing into the night.

What to know before you go

Border Wine Fest 2026 will take place on Saturday, October 24, from 2:00 p.m. to midnight at Plaza de la Mexicanidad. Tickets have been announced in both digital and physical formats through Super Taquilla.

Because the festival runs for approximately ten hours and wine tastings are a central part of the experience, it is a good idea to plan your transportation home ahead of time and make room for food, water and breaks throughout the day. If you plan to drink, don't drive.

As of October 4, final information had not yet been published regarding parking, the festival map, entrance locations, individual workshop schedules, policies for minors or specific admission rules. Check the event's latest official information as the festival date approaches.
